The beautiful scenery of Snowdonia surrounds this delightful cottage in a pretty row on the outskirts of the village of Gellilydan. Views of the countryside can be enjoyed from the front of the cottage and main bedroom. Beautifully renovated with particular attention paid to the fine detail like the impressive inglenook fireplace housing a wood burining stove. The narrow stairs are original to the cottage and adds to the quaint traditional ambiance. The beautiful features have been restored and combined with a modern twist. Baker's Cottage, is very cosy and a lovely place to stay after a day wandering the hills. You can walk from the cottage over the hills to a large fishing lake at the base of the Rhiniogau mountain a scenic 1 mile walk. 'The Waterfall Inn' is only a few minutes walk from the cottage and they serve good home made food and even better ales! The old stagecoach road will take you down the valley to the village of Maentwrog where you can relax in 1 of 2 pubs, The Oakley Arms have particularly good Sunday roasts! Porthmadog and the 3 mile long sweep of Black Rock Sands is 10ml as are the glorious sands and sand dunes at Harlech. Steam train rides up the valley and to Snowdon start from Porthmadog, where there are shops, boat rides, leisure centre (10ml). Excellent mountain biking forestry tracks in Coed y Brenin 10ml. Bala lake 21ml, Dolgellau and Cader Idris 16ml. Very central to all of Snowdonia. 15 minutes drive will take you to the new Zip World in Blaenau Ffestiniog, the longest zipline in the northern hemisphere, and Bounce Below, bouncy nets within a disused slate cavern.

Two bedrooms: One double bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds. Bed linen provided. Please bring your own towels.

Lovely lounge room with Freeview TV, DVD & stereo, Inglenook fireplace housing a log burning multifuel stove. Lounge leads through to the kitchen.
Kitchen/breakfast room modern fitted units, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Pleasant separate garden to the front of the property with lawns and patio area with seats ideal for enjoying the views of Snowdonia. Additional private elevated garden to the rear up some steep steps. Unsuitable for toddlers.
Parking space for 1 car.
Night storage and electric heaters.
Electricity included. Logs are extra.
Maximum 2 pets.
Baker's Cottage has been recarpeted throughout and the upstairs has been fully re-painted, there are new curtains and bedding in the main bedroom and there is now a shaver plug.

Mini-breaks & Weekends: Bookings that are for less than 7 nights are only bookable within 21 days (some properties are within a different amount of days) of the start date of the holiday. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's usual change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner.
