Beautifully refurbished guest house in magnificent Welsh border country.
There are eleven, tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms, a well stocked, beamed and stone floored courtesy bar for residents with sitting room and also a Georgian dining room where guests take our substantial breakfasts around a large, eighteen seat table.
Our room prices start at £106.00 inclusive of a full a la carte breakfast. Nine have walk in showers, two with roll top baths and all have Egyptian cotton linen, down pillows, a variety of teas and ground coffee, smart speakers and bathrobes.
There is much to do in this beautiful part of Wales. Using us as a base, walk to Hay on Wye and spend a day ambling round the bookstores, market and shops or explore the magnificently refurbished Castle. The River Wye offers magnificent fishing for trout, salmon and barbel, kayaking is hugely popular or there's miles of walking along the Wye valley trail or up on Hay Bluff.
Riding and pony trekking in wonderful moorland and through ancient Radnorshire forests is a big draw, with Offa's Dyke and the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park right next to us offering trails and hikes for all levels. The roads are excellent too, which is why so many bikers and motor cyclists visit.
If history is more your thing, then stunning Hereford Cathedral and its Mappa Mundi is only a thirty minute drive away. Combine that with tranquil Llanthony Priory or the beautiful Elan Valley, with mile upon mile of majestic Welsh countryside beyond. There's something for everyone.
