YHA Brecon Beacons Danywenallt

YHA Danywenallt is a charmingly converted Welsh Farm house, tucked away just below the Talybont Reservoir and surrounded by wooded slopes, high peaks, waterfalls and trails. Secluded but with plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures, this location makes an ideal rural retreat for a visit to Wales. Close to local award winning village Talybont-on-Usk with its canal routes to Abergavenny and Brecon.

Enjoy the rustic charm of the building as you glance out into the Welsh countryside of trees and greenery. With original stonework, characterful beams, an old fireplace, plus a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, the hostel provides a retreat to be appreciated by all.
To end your day there is a cosy lounge with wood burning stove, a choice of games for all ages and a bookshelf of varied reading giving a relaxing end to fun filled days. Alternatively, you could take a 5 minute stroll to the Reservoir and enjoy the 'Dark Skies' accredited views of late night constellations, the moon at its various stages and the peace of the water lapping. Most rooms have private facilities and there is a dedicated camping field with fire pit.
