About East Trewent Farm Bed & Breakfast

Bed and Breakfast at East Trewent farm gives you the best of both worlds: our comfortable rooms are in a separate building from the main house, giving freedom and privacy, with the luxury of a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast to start your day. Just a stone's throw from Freshwater East beach and the coastal path, allow yourself to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the sea, spend your days exploring the wonderful beaches and countryside of South Pembrokeshire, or relax with a book in the sun on the terrace or, on those rare rainy days, in the cosy breakfast room.

We believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day; whether it's cereal and a slice of toast, or a full Welsh breakfast, we make as much as possible ourselves and use ingredients from as close to home as possible. All our jams and marmalades are homemade, along with our granola, our laverbread patties and our vegetarian - or vegan - 'sausages'. Our sausages and bacon are from a local butcher, the eggs we use are all free-range, organic and Welsh, all chosen to set you up for the day.

We have plenty of parking, plus space for bikes, boats and surf boards and are happy to lend you maps, guidebooks, bodyboards and buckets and spades so you can make the most of your break by the sea.

We have four bedrooms - two en suite double rooms, a spacious twin room with en suite shower room, and a small single room with its own separate shower and WC. Every room has tea and coffee making facilities, with fresh milk - never UHT - and plant-based milk options in a fridge in the breakfast room. We make our own homemade biscuits for all our guests and serve delicious breakfasts, including home-made granola, fruit, porridge and full cooked breakfast using best quality local, mainly organic, produce. We can't guarantee our kitchen is totally allergen-free but do offer vegetarian and vegan breakfasts and are happy to cater for those on a gluten or dairy-free diet. If you give us a day or so notice, we can also provide you with a packed lunch if you would like one.

There are quiet outside seating areas for you to enjoy and listen to the birds and bees. Frequent summer visitors include many swallows who nest every year in our white-washed stone out-buildings. East Trewent Farm was formerly a dairy farm on the Stackpole Estate and some features of the original farm buildings can be seen today, including the medieval house thought to have been built around the same time as Pembroke Castle.

The coast path and Freshwater East beach are less than half a mile down the hill and there are fabulous walks to Stackpole, Bosherston lily ponds, Barafundle, Manobier and Tenby. We are ideally located for beach and water sports and also well positioned for the rest of Pembrokeshire and its many attractions. The Coastal Cruiser bus passes our door and can take you into Tenby or in the other direction towards Freshwater West.
