Venues in Wales are working hard to improve accessibility on all fronts. One example is the increasing availability of British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation at events and attractions for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. In many places around our coast, you can hire beach wheelchairs. With all-terrain wheels, they give wheelchair users and those with limited mobility the opportunity to experience some of our most beautiful beaches.

• In North Wales, you can hire sand friendly wheelchairs from the Kite Surfing Concession on Rhyl East beach
  Two beach wheelchairs are available for hire for use on Barmouth Beach. Find more information from Barmouth’s beach wheelchair Facebook page.

Inspirational accessible travel vlogger Gem Hubbard 'Wheels no Heels' spent time in North Wales exploring a range of attractions, adrenaline activities and accommodation suitable for wheelchair users. Gem then returned for short trip in South Wales and had a fun family break. She tried out a zip wire and a beach wheelchair.
