Whether you’re craving a digital detox, a family adventure, or a seasonal celebration under the stars, here’s a few good reasons why Fforest Farm should be your next escape.
A unique glamping experience with stargazing from your bed
Fforest offers a range of bespoke accommodation - from geodesic domes and Japanese-inspired Onsen Domes, to cosy Crog Lofts, family-friendly Hill Shacs and the luxurious Ty Fforest Farm House. Each space is thoughtfully designed to blend rustic charm with modern comforts, including gorgeous Welsh blankets, and is surrounded by 500 acres of natural, wild beauty.
Wales has the highest percentage of land protected by Dark Skies status in the world, making it ideal for stargazing. Many of Fforest’s rooms are designed without curtains - so you can fall asleep under a canopy of stars. With minimal light pollution and wide-open skies, it’s a stargazer’s dream.
Feast like never before
Fforest’s seasonal feasts are unforgettable. Think nine-course dinners featuring foraged wild garlic, barbecued crab, and rhubarb and rose pastilles - all served in the atmospheric Cedar Barn. It’s a celebration of local, seasonal ingredients and slow dining at its best.
The legendary Fforest Gather festival
Held each summer, Fforest Gather is a week-long celebration of creativity, nature, and community. Expect hands-on workshops, wild swimming, storytelling, live music, and shared meals. It’s a family-friendly festival with a relaxed, unplugged vibe that brings people together in the spirit of play and discovery.
Seasonal escapes and special events
In addition to the creative energy of Fforest Gather festival, there are a number of other events throughout the year. Each event is designed to reconnect you with the seasons, the land, and each other. There are special events during the year; the cosy, candlelit magic of Fforest Glow in autumn; and nature-filled stays for families during Easter, May and October half terms, and summer school holidays. Add a sprinkling of special guest chef weekends and you're sure to find a stay to suit your vibe.
A place to truly relax
A stay at Fforest invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect - with nature and yourself. To take your relaxation state to the next level, tucked away in the woodland, you'll find the Nature Spa (open Friday to Sunday) with a cedar barrel sauna, wood-fired hot tub, cold plunge barrel and relaxation cabin. For mid-week stays, the sauna and cold plunge are available to book.
Outdoor adventures on your doorstep
Between Fforest and the adjacent Teifi Marshes nature reserve, there are 500 acres of land connecting Fforest to the local market town of Cardigan, through the woods, reed beds and along the upper reaches of the Teifi estuary. Explore the nearby river gorge, paddle in a canoe, or hike woodland trails. The site is also minutes from the Wales Coast Path, offering endless opportunities for adventure.
A pub with a story: Y Bwthyn
Once a derelict barn and the oldest building on the farm, Y Bwthyn is now a charming one-room pub serving local beers and cocktails made with gin from nearby Tresaith. It’s the perfect spot for a sunset drink or a fireside chat after a day of exploring.
