25 May - 04 June 2023. Head to Hay for one of the biggest and best literary festivals. The Hay Festival takes place for ten days each spring, in the book town of Hay on Wye, Mid Wales.
St Davids Cathedral Festival
26 May - 04 June 2023. Enjoy world class music at St Davids Cathedral Festival. There's a varied programme, including concerts and recitals. The festival also includes music for children and young people, plus workshops and talks.
29 May - 03 June 2023. The Urdd Eisteddfod is one of Europe's biggest youth festivals. The 2023 festival takes place in Llandovey in Carmarthenshire.

08 - 11 June 2023. Gottwood is back in Anglesey on the Carreglwyd Estate. This independent and intimate underground electronic festival takes place in the middle of the woods.
Out Wild Festival
09 - 12 June 2022. The Out Wild Festival is back for 2023. Taking place in Pembrokeshire National Park, it's the UK's first wellness festival designed for queer, questioning and curious women and those who are non-binary. There's a varied programme, including music, wellness, sports and workshops.
10 - 11 June 2023. Merthyr Rising takes place outdoors in the grounds of Cyfarthfa Castle. With music, arts and ideas, the festival celebrates the working class culture.
Dragon Ride, Brecon Beacons
18 June 2023. If you're looking for a cycling challenge enter the Dragon Ride. Taking place in the beautiful Brecon Beacons in Mid Wales, there are four different routes, from 99km to 296km.
The Wye Valley River Festival
TBC. The Wye Valley River Festival brings local people, artists and environmentalists together in this area of outstanding natural beauty. There's a packed programme of events, including creative performances, theatre, cinema and workshops, picnics and river walks.
Whole Earth Man v Horse
TBC. Tafwyl, Cardiff's Welsh language arts and culture festival takes place in Cardiff Castle. All are welcome.
