Halen Môn Visitor Centre

We are an innovative food production business in a beautiful building on the edge of the outstandingly beautiful Menai Strait. Our one-of-a-kind tour is recommended for anyone interested in salt’s place in our history, culture, food and in what makes Halen Môn Sea Salt PDO the world’s finest seasoning. Led by a trained guide, the tour includes a tutored salt tasting and lasts approximately 45 minutes. The experience offers visitors a real flavour of our company. Whilst children are welcome to join the tour, it is primarily designed for adults.

As well as being where our hand-harvesting process takes place, our Saltcote has a contemporary, design-led gift shop. We sell everything from homeware to handmade ceramics, blankets made from recycled bottles to jewellery by Welsh makers. There is plenty of parking for both cars and bikes.

In season, we also have an outdoor coffee shop, serving Coaltown speciality coffee and handmade cakes, with an incredible panoramic view.

We also have our innovative Wild Seaweed Bathing, which offers visitors a chance to experience the rejuvenating effects of seaweed.
