Snowman Triathlon & Duathlon

The Snowman Triathlon, Duathlon & Swims 2026 is a challenging multi-sport endurance event taking place on 26 July 2026 at Capel Curig in th heart of Snowdonia (Eryri). Widely regarded as one of the toughest off-road triathlons in the UK, it combines open-water swimming, mountainous cycling, and demanding trail running across spectacular but rugged terrain.

The event offers a range of distances to suit different abilities, including Sprint, Standard, and the extreme “Legend” (70.3) triathlon, as well as duathlon and standalone swim races. Competitors swim in the cold waters of Llynnau Mymbyr, cycle through steep mountain roads, and finish with challenging trail runs featuring significant climbs and dramatic scenery.

Known for its tough conditions and breathtaking setting, the Snowman attracts both experienced athletes and ambitious beginners looking for a serious test. The combination of physical difficulty and iconic views of the surrounding peaks makes it a memorable and rewarding endurance event in the UK sporting calendar.
