Cardiff Animation Festival

Cardiff Animation Festival 2026 returns to the City from 23–26 April, celebrating the very best in animation from across the UK and around the world. Over four days, the festival presents an exciting programme of short film competitions, feature screenings, and curated strands showcasing a wide range of styles, stories, and techniques.

Alongside the screenings, audiences can take part in hands-on workshops, creative sessions, and industry talks led by experienced animators and filmmakers. These events offer opportunities to learn new skills, gain insight into the animation process, and connect with others working in the field.

With a welcoming and social atmosphere, the festival also features networking events, special themed screenings, and the Best of the Fest Awards, recognising standout work from the programme.
