Welsh Museums Festival

22 October  - 06 November 2022. The Welsh Museums Festival offers a variety of events in museums across Wales. All events are free of charge and include science events, crafts, lectures and conservation sessions.

Other Voices Cardigan Festival

03 - 05 November 2022. Other Voices Cardigan returns to Wales, featuring two nights of headline performances in St Mary’s Church, plus 80 live sets across the town as part of the Music Trail and three days of ‘Clebran Sessions'.

The Music Trail showcases a whole host of wonderful Welsh and Irish artists. Welsh performers include singer-songwriter Eve Goodman, multi-instrumentalist Cerys Hafana, chamber folk trio VRï, garage-rock foursome, Welsh-language rap duo Lloyd & Dom James, and Los Blancos. Irish acts include slouch rocker Skinner, psych rock five piece MELTS, acclaimed singer-songwriter Niamh Regan, electronic artist Daithí and experimental musician-composer Rachael Lavelle.

Autumn Internationals

05, 12, 19 and 26 November 2022. Enjoy great live rugby action at the Autumn International rugby matches will take place in Principality Stadium, in Cardiff city centre. It's Wales v New Zealand first on 05 November, with tickets from £20, followed by Wales v Argentina on 12 November with tickets from £10. On 19 November Wales face Georgia, with tickets from £5 and lastly Wales v Australia, with tickets from £12.50.

There's a return of match-day entertainment, with live music fan zones re-introduced to concourses. The soundscape of matchday is set to be revolutionised. There's a unique mix of traditional choirs alongside a music playlist curated by a new celebrity matchday maestro, BBC Radio Wales & Radio Cymru and television presenter, Huw StephensStadium Sounds (Synau’r Stadiwm), offer a contemporary, digital and live stadium music experience.

Christmas in Swansea Bay

08 November 2022 - 08 January 2023.Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland returns to Museum Park, with an extended Alpine Village. There’s a host of funfair attractions and a range of festive food and drink, providing a perfect setting for socialising. Book ice skating onlineAccessible sessions for skating are available during the first hour of skate sessions every Tuesday. New for 2022 are super saver tickets, offering substantial savings for families and students on skating, food and drink.

Cardiff Christmas Market

10 November - 23 December 2022. Cardiff Christmas Market takes place on St John Street, Working Street, the Hayes, Hills Street and Trinity Street. It includes an exciting and eclectic mix of both new and returning exhibitors to tempt you as their original, hand made work is the essence of what makes this market so different and special every year.

Cadw events

There are a variety of events at Cadw sites, including a Winter Artisan Market in Tretower Court and Castle and Remembrance Sunday at Castell Coch, on both on 12 and 13 NovemberBrother Thomas the Cellarer on 19 November.

Christmas events include Let’s Discover… Medicine in the North Pole at Chepstow Castle and Christmas starts here! at Raglan Castle both on 19 and 20 November. Enjoy Late night Christmas Shopping at Harlech Castle on 26 November and at Chepstow Castle on 30 November.

Cardiff Winter Wonderland

15 November 2022 - 08 January 2023. Enjoy ice skating, funfare rides, including the Big Wheel in the centre of our capital city. Cardiff Winter Wonderland takes place at Cardiff Castle and the City Hall lawn.

Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza

17 - 20 November 2022. Enjoy fairground rides, entertainment, food and drink and gift stalls at the Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza in Trinity Square/Madoc Street.

Festival of Senses, Llandeilo

18 - 20 November 2022. The Festival of the Senses is three days of fun, entertainment,  Christmas shopping and fireworks in the town of Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire.

Tenby Blues Festival

18 - 20 November 2022. Tenby Blues Festival features a host of both local and international artists in concert. There are also a variety of workshops in venues in Tenby.

Real Ale Wobble

19 November 2022. Marking the start of the Mid Wales Beer Festival an event for those who don't take their cycling too seriously. Enjoy cycling through the Cambrian Mountains, sampling local ale from the Heart of Wales Brewery in Llanwrtyd Wells.

A Taste of West Wales Winter Festival

19 - 20 November 2022. A Taste of West Wales Winter Festival takes place in the National Botanic Garden of Wales. It's a celebration of food, drink, art and craft, artisans and makers of Wales and beyond. Come along and 'meet the makers'.  The British Bird of Prey Centre will also be introducing their birds of prey and there will be regular flying sessions throughout the weekend.

Picton Castle Gardens Christmas Fair, Pembrokeshire

19 - 20 November 2022. Picton Castle & Gardens is hosting a Christmas Fair with over 60 stalls. There's mulled wine for the adults and a free Christmas trail for children. You can pay on the day. £7 for adults, free entry for children. Admission includes the castle and Welsh Owl Garden and Zoo.

The Green Fair, National Waterfront Museum

19 - 20 November 2022The Green Fair takes place at National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, over 40 stalls, giving you everything you need for a green Christmas. There are local sourced and environmentally friendly produce, plus fair trade, organic and recycled goodies.

Reindeer safari, Mold

19 November - 24 December 2022. Reindeer Lodge are offering up a drive-through reindeer safari experience and theatre show that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own car. You can choose a day ticket to enjoy the stunning scenery or a night ticket to see the woodland illuminated. There's also a hidden Elf village and a drive-thru Santa's Grotto and Toy Workshop.

Swansea Winter Wonderland

19 November - 24 December 2022. Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, Three Crosses, Swansea, is home to Swansea Winter Wonderland and Grotto. Enter the snowy kingdom, see the animatronics and meet Santa. There's a gift for the children and mulled wine and a mince pie for the parents.

Santa 5k Run, Llandeilo

20 November 2022. The Santa 5k run takes place on the weekend of the Llandeilo Festival of the Senses. Santa suit included!

Conwy Half Marathon

20 November 2022. Try and jostle your way to the edges of the pack because Runners World included it in their five most scenic half marathons in the UK. Taking in such great sights as Conwy Castle, Isle of Anglesey and Puffin Island.

Real Ale Ramble

26 - 27 November 2022. The Real Ale Ramble is held annually in conjunction with the 10-day Mid-Wales Beer Festival. Take a 12 or 20 mile waymarked ramble or there are two guided routes of five and eight miles, with free real ales available at the checkpoints.

Believe experience at St David’s Cardiff 

25 November - 24 December 2022. Believe, the enchanted Christmas grotto experience, returns to St David’s, Cardiff. Meet McJingles, one of Santa’s most trusted elves and along Norbert, his magical reindeer friend. There's festive crafting for children, where they can make their own magical bag of reindeer food before meeting Santa, who will give them a gift and they will have a photo taken. Booking is essential.
