Take on the fastest Parkrun in Wales
If you’re a runner with a love for coastal views, history, and great food, Swansea Bay and Gower offer the perfect weekend escape. Harry Morgan, host of the popular running YouTube channel and podcast JOG ON, kicks off his weekend in West Wales with the Swansea Bay parkrun - a flat, fast, and scenic 5K route along the seafront. With its smooth tarmac and sea breeze, it’s no wonder this is known as the fastest Parkrun in Wales.
Harry MorganIt’s one of the most beautiful and energising runs I’ve done. The sea on one side, the city on the other - it’s the perfect start to a weekend.”
Trail running at Three Cliffs Bay
Next, Harry heads west to the Gower Peninsula, where, he takes on a more rugged challenge - trail running along the cliffs and dunes of Three Cliffs Bay and Pobbles Bay. With sweeping views, dramatic limestone peaks, and the ruins of Pennard Castle in the distance, this route is a dream for adventurous runners. The Gower Coast Path (part of the greater Wales Coast Path) runs around the entire peninsula with miles of beautiful beach views to take in while running or walking.
