Chris Knight walks the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, South Wales

Chris Knight, author of award-winning blogging site 'Oh What a Knight', shares his favourite parts of the walk between Dunraven Bay and Nash Point, a popular and beautiful section of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast path.

It's a moderately challenging 8km (5mile) hike along high cliff top paths and rugged limestone beaches, with some steep bits along the way. As you'll be crossing farmland, please keep dogs on leads and follow the Countryside Code.

The whole coastline along here is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, mainly due to the fascinating Jurassic fossils found in the limestone cliffs. Nash Point Dark Sky Reserve is a superb spot for stargazing.

Chris starts his walk by catching a bus to Southerndown village, then walking to the coast. Limited parking is available in Dunraven Bay. Check out Traveline Cymru for public transport options and visit AdventureSmart.uk for advice on staying safe whilst exploring Wales.
