Osborne House, Llandudno

Osborne House is a boutique hotel, all lavish drapes and flouncy frills, with a lively bar for drinks with a sense of timeless elegance. Head past the large marble slab table and plop yourself down in the middle of the room, taking in a people-watching view from the huge squishy white sofas. This opulent taste of Victoriana, located right on the Promenade, is ideal for a glass of bubbly or a pint of Conwy Brewery’s award-winning Honey Fayre ale.

Groes Inn, Conwy

Groes Inn, a traditional coaching inn just outside Conwy, is a real gastro haven. Pull up a chair in the restaurant, sink down on a comfy sofa or, in summer, take your drinks outside. Either way, take a moment to tantalise your tastebuds with the aroma coming from the kitchen. Try the homemade three cheese and onion pie, or one of the seasonal daily specials.

The Queen's Head

Another option is The Queen's Head, just on the outskirts of Llandudno, in Glanwydden. On colder days, head inside to cosy up by the log fire and soak in the atmosphere with the low beamed ceilings of this traditional village pub. When the weather heats up, grab something cold and bask in the sunshine on the terrace. You can enjoy a variety of drinks, including local ales, and the menu offers up local produce, pub meals and some international flavours. If your four-legged friend is with you, rest assured that dogs are welcomed in the snug area and on the terrace.

Albion Ale House, Conwy

Real ale drinkers love Conwy. It’s got the walks, the history but, most of all, it’s home to the Albion Ale House – a UK first. This remarkable collaboration between four local breweries – Conwy, Snowdon Craft Beer, Nant and Purple Moose – has created a beautiful, friendly ‘proper pub’ with real ales on tap, great pub grub and a real enthusiasm for craft ales. Let’s raise a glass to that!

Cottage Loaf, Llandudno

Book a big table at the Cottage Loaf, one of the friendliest pubs in Llandudno, for a great family meal out. The bar stocks the best range of Cask Marque ales in central Llandudno with two house ales, two guest ales and a cask cider. The menu takes in tasty pub classics, such as steak and Conwy ale pie, plus decent veggie, vegan and gluten free options, plus a kid's menu.
