A long, narrow sandy and pebble beach at high tide but at low tide a huge expanse of firm sand is revealed with plenty of room for everyone - and it can get busy during the summer months due to its safe bathing. The cliffs on both sides provide some sheltered bays. It is possible to walk round the headland on the south side at low tide into another bay called The Settlands and walk round the next headland to Little Haven - keep an eye on the tide if you do!
Broad Haven has a general store and post office, 3 pubs, a restaurant, tea rooms, cafe, take away and shops that sell and hire out water sports gear.
Blue Flag and Seaside Award beach. Dog restrictions apply to the northern third of the beach between May and end September. Two car parks providing up to 200 spaces; the smaller car park on the sea front fills up very quickly. Toilets, slipway; lifeguard service provided 10:00 - 18:00 17 June to 3 September 2017.
