The Radnorshire Museum, part of Powys County Council's Museum Service, can be found in the centre of Llandrindod Wells. It holds artefacts relating to the former county of Radnorshire and is housed in the old Carnegie Library.
Llanidloes Museum is now co-located with Llanidloes Library in The Town Hall. The displays show aspects of the town's history as well as three recreated Victorian rooms: a parlour, a kitchen and a gentleman's study.
The museum has a great many collections on offer, including the 49th Reconnaisance Regiment formed in 1941, Samtampa Disaster 1947, Railways, The Great War exhibition, archaeological finds and records from local churches.
