About Cwt Glo

Welcome to Cerrigydrudion Cottages.

Two beautiful holiday cottages in Cerrigydrudion, the heart of North Wales and gateway to Snowdonia. The perfect base for North Wales holidays and activities. Cwt Glo and Y Stabl are situated in the grounds of Hendre Llan, a former rectory dating back to the 1700’s.

Cwt Glo is a single storey dwelling, accommodating four people. Y Stabl also accommodates four but is a two storey cottage.
Both cottages have amazing views across the fields to the hills in the distance. On a sunny day it is quite magical to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful scenery; or at night to sit and look at the stars and listen to the owls. Each cottage has its own private patio, garden, and parking area and is totally private. Both properties feature eco-friendly biomass heating, and a heart-warming wood burner.

We are within a half a mile of the village of Cerrigydrudion. In the village there is a pub, shop/off licence/post office, bank, church and school. We are twelve miles from Betws-y–Coed and approximately twenty from Snowdon.

The Brenig and Alwen reservoirs are four miles away in the direction of Denbigh. The Brenig is popular for water sports, fishing, cycling, walking and bird watching. There is also a cafe and excellent adventure playground. Bala lake is 10 miles away and is also very popular for water sports.
Even though we are situated at the edge of Snowdonia National Park, we are also less than 20 miles from the coast. Llandudno, a Victorian seaside resort is a mere 45 minute drive away and is well worth a visit. The towns of Ruthin, Denbigh, Llangollen and Bala are all within a short drive and all have their own interesting features.

Castle lovers have Conwy, Harlech, Beaumaris, Criccieth, Caernarfon, Chirk and Penrhyn all within a short distance.
Other places of interest in this locality are Bodnant Garden, Portmeirion, The Electric Mountain at Llanberris, National Slate Museum, and Sygun Copper Mine near Beddgelert. If you have teens in tow, a trip to Zipworld at Bethesda and Blaenau Ffestiniog should be high on the agenda. Stretching 1 mile long, the 500ft-high thrill ride is cited as Europe's longest zip line, and is also the fastest in the world. And if that isn't enough, there's the National White Water Centre at Bala, and Surf Snowdonia at Dolgarrog boasts the UK's only artificial inland surfing lagoon.

Cerrigydrudion is centrally located for so many places of interest.
