About Portclew Cottages

Each cottage has it's own car parking space and private garden with patio furniture, however guests are welcome to use the extensive gardens belonging to the guesthouse where ball games etc. can be played.

All cottages are well equipped with washer/drier, microwave, dishwasher, TV, Video, HiFi etc. All bed linen and towels are provided and all heating fuel and electricity is included. The cottages all have oil fired central heating, together with a gas/electric fire in the lounge, to ensure a warm welcome whatever the season.

Our week commences on a Friday. Short breaks are available upon request.

COACH HOUSE (Sleeps 9)
The Coach House has 4 spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bath/shower room, comprising of two double rooms, one twin bedded room and one bunk bedded room. There is plenty of space for an extra bed or cot in one of the double bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 9 people. The large well lit kitchen has a range cooker and freezer and also a large ash dining table which has plenty of room to seat everyone around for those special family meals. There is a spacious lounge with plenty of comfortable seating. This building was originaly a stable and cart house with the stable hands sleeping upstairs.
THE HEN HOUSE (Sleeps 5+baby)
The Hen House has two large bedrooms, one being a double with ample space for a cot/extra bed, and one triple room. The name of the cottage speaks for itself and the nesting boxes are still visible in the bedrooms, although now just ornamental. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over. The kitchen/diner has double aspect windows to make it light and airy and there is plenty of room for the family to sit and relax in the lounge.

GARDENERS COTTAGE (Sleeps 2-4)
Gardeners Cottage has just one double bedroom with room for a cot/extra bed, together with a sofa bed in the lounge area. The ground floor bathroom has a bath with shower over. The cottage has a well appointed kitchen with pine dining table and chairs, which leads into the garden. The beamed ceiling gives the lounge area a warm, cosy atmosphere.This outbuilding was used to store the gardeners tools and equipment.
