Cam was a fantastic host and so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Highbury had everything you could need and is very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was also great! The guest room has separate access along with a lovely little courtyard which was perfect for sitting out and having afternoon tea. The location is perfect for exploring Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion or Carmarthenshire. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is a wonderful B & B with a host who can't do enough for you. Breakfast is worth the money alone. Very dog-friendly as well, which makes a big difference as dog-friendly accommodation of this quality is hard to find. Very highly recommended.

If you just want to get away for a relaxing ‘easy on the pocket’ break, then Highbury offers you a really comfortable, relaxing atmosphere where you will have your own private space yet with personal service available at all times. The gardens at Highbury have many places to relax and take in the lovely views and when the weather is less than inviting a cosy candlelit lounge with a library is all yours.
A choice of nearby Health Spa's offer swimming, sauna and jacuzzi facilities at very reasonable rates. Excellent pubs and restaurant are right on the doorstep here in Abercych, so there’s no need to get back in the car unless you want to venture a little further afield.

When you’re tired of relaxing, the lovely historic towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan offer a great selection of independent boutique shops, crafts, great cafe’s, bars and colourful markets.

The wild and beautiful Teifi is known as the Queen of the Game Fishing Rivers. Cenarth, just a mile from Abercych is a favoured spot for fisherman.

From the doorstep of Highbury you can access a choice of enchanting walks which will take you through forestry and ancient woodland or alongside the Afon Cych of Welsh fable. The secluded waterfall of Ffynone can be reached on foot and is said to be the entrance to the Celtic Otherworld.

Another footpath from the village leads to series of spectacular waterfalls on the Afon Teifi at Cenarth, a historic village famous for the Salmon Leap and one of the few remaining places where the Coracle is still in use.

Ten minutes by car will take you to the edge of the Preseli Mountains where a Bronze Age trade route known as ‘The Golden Way’ crosses the ridge of these mystical hills descending to the coast, taking you past ancient megaliths and the actual source of the Stonehenge ‘bluestones’, with stunning views all the way.

20 minutes by car will take you to the starting point of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path at Poppit Sands. The stretch of path between Poppit and Newport is said to be the most stunning coastal scenery in the UK and National Geographic Magazine say it is the second-best long distance path in the world!
