About Gower Gallery

Located in the centre of Mumbles Gower Gallery is open seven days a week and we are also online for national and international delivery www.gowergallery.co.uk
The artists behind Gower Gallery work hard to create an exciting and friendly space in which to enjoy the art by established Welsh and International artists as well as a curated collection of work by makers and crafts people. We have a unique selection of ceramics, metal work, glass, jewellery and lighting.
We believe that a gallery should be inspiring and accessible to all and give the chance for people to buy or browse fine art and designed giftware. We celebrate the creativity of design and whilst you may not be in the market for an original oil painting, the handmade egg cup you pick up is also a little masterpiece. From time to time, we stray from the path of purely Welsh pieces and have accessories and art from English and Scottish makers whose work we could not bear to exclude.
Gower Gallery is keen to be sustainable and ethical in their selection and so have an increasing range of sculpture made from recycled metal and vases and lamps made from recycled glass. Our Fairtrade items from across the world are very lovely and help us to help talented makers from disadvantaged communities.

With the Gower Peninsula on our doorstep, we couldn’t help but specialise in paintings, ceramics, sculptures, and limited edition Giclee prints inspired by the beautiful coastline. We have paintings and prints of iconic views such as Langland, Three Cliffs, Caswell, Oxwich, Rhossili Bay …the list goes on.
Alongside paintings by Ron Banning and his daughter Arwen Banning, the gallery is home to work by Welsh artists such as Katie Allen, Carys Evans, Nina Morgan, Alastair Elkes Jones, Jane Davies and Jane Malvisi as well as artists from around the UK including Michelle Scragg, Kelly Stewart, Ostinelli and Priest and Ellie Ling.
Our new line of illustrations of Gower by Noodle Design have been a big hit. The artist behind this work is Andrew Hilton who began his career as an architectural illustrator working with the likes of Richard Rogers and Rafael Vinoly, and on buildings such as the Shard and Heron Tower. His work is in the architecture gallery of the Victoria and Albert Museum and so we are excited to have his new work inspired by his relocation to Wales.
