The beautiful Gower Peninsula starts at Mumbles and extends westwards. It's famous for its 30 miles of spectacular coastline including vast Rhossili Bay and tiny, secluded Brandy Cove. Gower was designated as the UK's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1956. Worms Head at Rhossili, the westernmost point of Gower, is reputed to be the 7th most photographed sunset in the world.
