The Royal Victoria Hotel in Snowdonia has been awarded an AA rosette following a refurbishment which took six months to complete.

Eryri Bar and Lounge, and Padarn Brasserie led by head chef Aron Davies, were praised for producing unique dishes using ingredients from farms and producers in north west Wales.

To have been recognised for the quality of our cuisine by the AA is an incredible honour. This is one of the country’s most prestigious awards, so we are very proud to have been acknowledged in this way, especially given the hard work that’s gone into achieving it.”

Originally built in the 1830s, the Royal Victoria Hotel’s 104 bedrooms have all been upgraded following its refurbishment. Improvements to the reception, dining area and garden were also completed during the project which took over five years to complete. The refurbishment included Welsh granite and slate being incorporated into the décor and fittings.

Located in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park famed for its breathtaking scenery, mountains and lakes, guests can enjoy a fresh tasting dining experience with ingredients and surroundings to compliment the location.

Supporting farmers and producers is vital, and it means we have the very best ingredients – there is a story behind every plate of food, and we are proud of that.”  Winning an AA Rosette is testament to that vision, and we could not be happier to receive such an accolade.”
