As we wish everyone a Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus — a very happy St David’s Day on 1 March, we want to invite those around the world to celebrate with us.

Over the St David’s Day weekend (27 February –1 March), @walesdotcom will be running our biggest ever digital festival across social media channels and working with partners and digital diaspora to amplify Wales to the world. It will showcase Wales at its best and bringing the words of St David to life - ‘do the little things in life’ by showing the good things (little and big) that we’re doing.

Attached is a link to a deck with a brief overview of what will be happening and the associated campaign. Getting Involved - Eng Most of our activity will be focused on France, Germany, USA, Japan, Wales, UK and Ireland markets.  We will also have language content in Arabic and Chinese. There will be some activity in India, Canada, UAE and Qatar. There will also be very targeted content in Spain and Italy.

The curated 72 hour event will include an eclectic mix of content, stories and live performances, including Bryn Williams and Cerys Matthews - all showcasing the good things we’re doing as a nation for each other, for our communities, for our land, and for our world. It will bring together many events planned under one banner. The aim is to inspire everyone and we want you and your clients and customers to get involved. See the Event schedule for more details

Leading up to the weekend, you can become an official content sharing partner. We’re planning to create the biggest ever showcase of Wales, broadcast on @walesdotcom and over hundreds of social media channels including @VisitWalesTrade. To do this, we need partners to become live content sharers by using our collective reach across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to inspire others around the world. So, please tell us about any St David’s Day activities you have planned including events and content, so we can share. We would also like partners to help us mark our national day around the world by using your connections and clients to take Wales to new audiences. To get involved, please contact us at enquiries.wales@gov.wales

Then during the weekend, relax and enjoy!

•         Sit back with your laptop, smart TV or smartphone and enjoy some of the unique broadcasts across Wales’ social channels.

•         Share and comment. Share our content, films and stories with your clients, customers, networks, friends, family and colleagues. And get involved in conversations happening live throughout the weekend.

•         Create your own St David’s Day at home or the office. Get involved, check out the recipe cards, music playlists and epic content that will make St David’s Day special.
