The Wales Coast Path is one of the few coastal footpaths in the world to follow a national coast. It showcases Wales’ beaches, estuaries, cliffs, woodlands and hills and your clients can discover city waterfronts, writers’ retreats, rare wildlife and historic castles along the way. There are 870 miles of coastline waiting to be explored.

The new self-guided themed itineraries have been been specifically designed by a network of officers who spend their days managing and enjoying the path. There is a selection of short, family-friendly augmented reality (AR) walks and a series of longer three day itineraries developed to provide flexibility whether your clients want to completely get off grid, test their fitness or are looking for a family weekend activity. Other themes include: ‘Wow Walks’, ‘Mindfulness Walks’ and ‘Culture Heritage Walks’. Itineraries can be downloaded which also contain useful information like a map, the distance and public transport links.

Walking toward wellness & mindfulness in 2020

New for 2020 are walking itineraries on 'mindfulness'. They are perfectly suited for those who want to focus on reconnecting with nature, family and themselves.

Walking is the most accessible form of exercise allowing people to spend quality time outdoors. The new itineraries aim to highlight the positive benefits of walking, with a selection of routes crafted to offer a range of walks for all abilities. From the perfect spots for reflection, exploring the coastline’s unique biodiversity to swapping FaceTime for face time with the family and friends.
