The Good Food Guide 2020 has listed Welsh restaurants in their publication of the best places to eat around the United Kingdom.

All reviews are based on an expert panel of inspectors as well as reviews by the general public. The position of the restaurant in the list is determined by editorial appraisals, feedback scores and cooking scores

The highest ranking on the list for Wales is Ynyshir, Eglwys Fach, near Machynlleth, which came in at number four. It scored a cooking score of 10 meaning a “perfect dish with faultless techniques”. It is the highest accolade.

James Sommerin, Penarth and The Whitebrook, Monmouthshire were also in the top 50.
