The Worldchefs Global Chefs Challenge global event is hosted by the Culinary Association of Wales (CAW) and its partners which include International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales), the Celtic Manor Resort and the Welsh Government. Worldchefs represents more than 12 million chefs from 108 countries worldwide and this will be the only major Worldchefs event going ahead this year. It comprises of three competitions which will bring the world’s best chefs to Wales. Home based talent will be represented in each of the categories across all four days of world class rivalry. The highlight of day one is the Global Pastry Chefs Challenge, on days two and three the event showcases the Global Young Chef’s Challenge, with the Hans Bueschkens Trophy rounding things off on the final day of competition.

Worldchefs have given CAW and its partners the green light to press ahead with its plans to organise a safe and professional event for a world class field of competitors. CAW president Arwyn Watkins OBE feels that the decision to proceed with the event was a massive vote of confidence in Wales as a destination by Worldchefs

The Celtic Manor Resort, a multi–award winning five star property have an impressive track record of hosting global events. The Worldchefs congress was held at the venue in 2017 followed by a Worldchefs board meeting in 2019. They also hosted a memorable and successful Ryder Cup in 2010 and welcomed world leaders to the NATO Summit in 2014.
