1,500 seat auditorium
In addition to the existing 1500 seat auditorium and 1550sq metre clear span Arena, Venue Cymru will now offer an 180sq metre conference / studio room, a multi-purpose space with sprung floor that can be used for events and conferences. This will also create one of 4 spaces seating between 200 and 350 delegates which will allow for breakout sessions for larger conferences and be perfect for smaller events and sub-plenary sessions.
A demountable partition has also been installed in the Main Hall, allowing the 700sq metre space to be split in two, increasing flexibility to attract new conference business.
The new developments are all in addition to the 20 existing meeting spaces that provide excellent exhibition, conference, meeting and reception areas.
All Venue Cymru’s rooms are fully accessible.

With the additional developments and investments Venue Cymru will be looking to attract more of the international market too.
The building is also very popular as a location for televised events including sport tournaments such as Coral’s Snooker Tour Championship, BBC1’s ‘Question Time’ and Junior Eurovision for S4C.

Funding for the redevelopment project has come through the 'Tourism Attractor Destinations Programme', a Visit Wales led programme of key tourism developments across Wales and funded through the European Regional Development Fund, supported by additional funding from Welsh Government and Conwy County Borough Council.
