Close to mid-Wales border towns, this centrally located hotel is a frequent stop-off for motoring and specialist interest groups.
The Metropole Hotel and Spa is a plush hotel and spa located in Llandrindod Wells (Llandrindod) in the Elan Valley in Mid-Wales. Llandrindod Wells is the most central town in Wales and the administrative centre of Powys county. A spa town, as the name suggests, the town’s architecture dates from the boom periods of the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

Perfect balance of award-winning hotel and meeting and event venue.
This is a hard-working hotel where Victorian buildings sit happily alongside more recent additions housing contemporary meeting and events spaces. Syndicate and break-out rooms are plentiful and easily configured alongside the larger meeting and event spaces.

Meeting and event planners should note the near proximity of not one but four golf courses.
There is an old-world elegance to the Metropole and its long association with this bustling spa town adds to its appeal. The hotel attracts groups who choose to extend their stay and explore the local area further.  Activities available locally are motor safari's in Elan Valley, kayaking, cycling, horse riding and Dark Sky Reserve sky exploration.

A stopping off point for motoring and special interest groups.
The Metropole specialises in making larger groups feel welcome. The location in Mid Wales makes the hotel the ideal base for groups touring Wales or visiting from the English border towns.

Modern meeting facilities for up to 220 with 109 bedrooms onsite.
150 parking spaces onsite make group arrivals hassle free. Town is at the hotel’s doorstep and meeting and event planners regularly combine hotel and town to create a campus look and feel.

The area also hosts the Heart of Wales Walking Festival annually and the town is a regular venue for both start and finish of many annual national car, bike and cycle rallies. The Royal Welsh Show, the biggest agricultural event in Europe is held in neighbouring Builth Wells (Llanfair-ym-Muallt).

Built by the great-great-grandmother of the present Managing Director in 1897, the hotel has been run by the same family for five generations.
