Background

Renvale is the longest standing designer and manufacturer of bespoke wiring harness solutions to the Motorsport industry and has an enviable client portfolio, and has also diversified into other sectors such as marine, automotive and R&D test facilities. Staff have a particularly busy annual phase between December and March and to reward employees, Renvale arrange an annual reward and team building trip.

Challenge

After an intensely busy period, Renvale look for a supplier who can offer a real challenge in terms of environment and activities while making sure that all staff can rest, socialise and have a good time. With their own successful mountain biking team – Renvale are an adventurous organisation and keen to find a supplier who can provide a real adrenaline rush for their annual event. Top of the list for the 2019 trip was a canyoning experience – but were also looking for an unspoilt location, a range of activities, professional leadership and value for money.

Solution

After a search for a suitable venue and activity supplier Renvale chose Call of the Wild, based in the Brecon Beacons to host their annual event. Renvale felt that Call of the Wild offered the best choice in terms of location, experience and value for money. Call of the Wild hosted the group in their onsite accommodation and the events, leadership and adventure team provided a turn key solution, working with the Renvale team to develop a programme with plenty of challenge, fun, adrenaline and team building opportunities. 

The group took part in canyoning, clay shooting, mountain biking as well as others from the range of activities offered such as archery, quad biking and kayaking, and the itinerary was personalised to meet the requirements of all the participants. Led by highly qualified instructors and coaches the group enjoyed adrenaline filled stress busting activities in the day and evening activities included a BBQ with a campfire social.

With a range of adventure-based activities and the leadership of the Call of the Wild team, the whole group enjoyed the challenges and were keen to repeat the experience. The team made great memories but also developed as a more cohesive and unified workforce, refreshed to take on the challenges of the year ahead.
