About Penderyn Distillery Visitor Centre
Penderyn Distillery was established in 2000 - bringing back distilling to Wales after more than 100 years - and now exports award-winning Welsh Single Malt Whiskies to over 40 countries, as well as featuring in most of the larger UK multiples.
Penderyn Distillery's Visitor Centre sees over 43,000 visitors per annum, and is one of South Wales' premier tourist attractions. Most Trip Advisor reviews are 5-star. The distillery is situated on the southern foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park - an area of outstanding natural beauty famed for its breathtaking scenery, open moorland, clear rivers and tumultuous waterfalls. We're about 40 minutes from Cardiff and half hour from Swansea. Tours are available 7 days a week, and at busy times run on the hour.
The tour, which lasts an hour, starts off in our Exhibition Area before heading into the distillery itself where you will see our unique stills. Then on to the Tasting Bar where you will sample some whisky! (N.B. Miniatures are provided for drivers to take away with them.)
For those who can't climb stairs we have an alternative tour. There are a few rules regarding safety, photography etc. and these can be found here: http://penderyn.wales/tours/. Please read these if you plan on visiting.
We can only accommodate 20 people on our tours so booking is essential. Book here: http://penderyn.wales/visit
(We also hold more in-depth Masterclasses which last 2.5 hours. Details here: http://penderyn.wales/masterclass/)
