Brecon Baroque Festival October at Aberhonddu | Brecon

2023 saw the final part of our ‘Walk with Bach’ series, a three-year adventure which explored the life and music of JS Bach and those that influenced his career, so onwards and upwards for 2024, with an exploration of French repertoire.

Brecon Baroque Festival was established in 2006 by Rachel Podger, one of the world’s leading interpreters of Baroque music.

Each October she gathers together some of the world’s leading period musicians for a long weekend of performances, talks and workshops in her home town of Brecon. Rachel’s commitment to the next generation also means that each Festival includes opportunities for students and younger musicians to get involved and play alongside musicians at the height of their profession.
