The show boasts an impressive 12-hour programme of exciting entertainment, attractions and displays each day.
This year the amazing Ukrainian Cossacks are headlining the entertainment in the main ring. This popular display will thrill the crowds with daredevil stunt riding skills. Continuing the tradition of their ancestors and riding their beloved Ukrainian Warmblood horses, (particularly suited to stunt riding because of their fearlessness and endurance), cossacks are truly masters of speed and agility. Performing somersaults on their horses and spurring each other on with loud shouts the riders can take themselves underneath their horses’ bellies and can make a six rider pyramid formation using two horses galloping side by side.
Another crowd pleasing attraction in the main ring will be the huge Big Pete and the Grim Reaper Monster Truck Team. Big Pete is one of Europe’s largest Monster Trucks with a full jumping 15ft in the air and crushing anything in their path. They will even have a game of tug-of-war, pulling a car in two!
With over 30 years of experience, the Black Mountain Falconry team of Roger and June James will be wowing the crowds with a breath-taking display full of excitement, skill and a wonderful selection of majestic and captivating birds of prey.
Returning for their second year at the Royal Welsh Show will be the Tristar Carriage Driving team. The Tristar coach was built in 2013 and it is a replica of the famous ‘Prince of Wales’ coach that ran from Carmarthen to Cardiff back in 1816.
Show goers will also be able to enjoy performances from the Regimental Band and Corps of Drums of the Royal Welsh, Meirion Owen and the Quack Pack, the Inter Hunt Relay, trotting competitions and much more.
On the first three days of the show there will also be a spectacular double aerial display from a Hawker Hurricane and Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
