Nine days of fabulous guided walks in and around the Black Mountains situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Mid-Wales.
Once again it's time to get your boots on and your walking gear out to head for the hills with Crickhowell's Walking Festival. The festival is a well-established feature on the local calendar attracting walkers from all over the country, as well as locals keen to embrace the great scenery on offer.
Crickhowell Walking Festival is organised by the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre,
in partnership with Walkers are Welcome in Crickhowell (WAWiC) and Crickhowell Adventure. The organisers and walks leaders are all volunteers and all proceeds go to cover the costs of the Festival. It is not a profit making concern.
The programme also has a range of supporting events. These are in the form of talks, some of which will be followed by a walk to illustrate the talk the next day, courses in Map Reading and Navigation – theory and practical – as well as times to relax to music and even dance, if you still have enough energy left!
Events at CWF 2019 include:
Thinking on my Feet - Kate Humble in Conversation
Kevin Walker Workshops on Map Reading and Navigation
The Cistercian Way - Wales’ latest Heritage Path
Sheffield Adventure Film Festival
From Drury Lane to Persia & Jerusalem - Famous Residents of Crickhowell
