Takumasa Ono first held his exhibition and sumi-e workshops as an official programme for JAPAN 2001, a year-long celebration of Japanese culture in the UK. Since then he has held exhibitions of his art across the UK every year. His Sumi-e paintings include a permanent installation in the Japan room at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay.
The ‘HENRO’ (pilgrimage) exhibition will show a display of the artist’s watercolours, screen prints and Japanese ink paintings capturing Trust properties. Prints will be on sale with a donation to the Trust. The artist will be in residence at this exhibition and you will be able to find out more about his artwork and his inspiration first hand.
