Tour of Britain - Wales at Usk

Monmouthshire, Usk, Monmouthshire, NP15 1AU, Wales

The OVO Energy Tour of Britain, the UK’s premier road cycling race, will pass through Usk and finish in Wales for the first time this year as Cardiff hosts the end of the final stage on Sunday 10th September.

This stage will start in Worcester and run just to the south of Hereford and then turn south to continue between Abergavenny and Monmouth before heading for Usk, Newport and onto Cardiff.

The times shown are the riders ETAs based on a fast race; a slower race may give ETAs of 29 - 35 minutes later. The cars preceding the race will arrive about 15 minutes before the riders.

The Tour will join the B4598 just south of Llanvihangel Gobion (13:31) and continue on this road to Usk, turning right into Bridge Street (13:45), over the River Usk and then left for Llangybi (13:51) and Caerleon (14:01). As the race heads south out of Usk, the route will feature a sprint stage.

The Tour will start in Edinburgh on Sunday 3rd September and it will be the first time since 2012 that it has finished outside of London and coincides with Visit Wales’ Year of Legends. Cardiff will welcome the Tour of Britain for the first time ever, with the race finishing on King Edward VII Avenue, alongside Cardiff City Hall.
