As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Amanda Whitehead a qualified official Wales tourist guide who lives in Conwy, has set up Conwy Tours offering socially distanced tours around Conwy.

The town tour, a fun history story tour is suitable for young and old and is led by Amanda in a traditional Welsh costume. Your clients will discover Conwy's main attractions including Conwy Castle, Plas Mawr Elizabethan Town House, the Church of St Mary & All Saints, the Town Walls, the quayside and the Smallest House in Britain. The tour starts at Conwy Tourist Information Centre's garden and takes place at 10:00 and 17:00 on Sundays and 17:00 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and lasts around one hour 30 minutes. Adults £10, Children £4.

Conwy Tours

To enable social distancing, all the town tours loan personal receivers that enable the use of your clients own headphones or they can purchase disposable earpieces. This also means that your clients can stop and take photos without missing any information. Amanda plans to add tours of the Medieval Town Walls and also Conwy Castle once these reopen after Covid-19 restrictions. She is also planning a Food Tour of this town of gastronomic treats once social distancing permits. When these start, not only will your clients have a taste of the town’s history, but also will be able to sample local delicacies such as pies, cheese, chocolate, ice cream and local beer. These tours will be around £30-£40 per person.

Group sizes currently are limited to eight and track and trace details are required.

Private tours and group tours are also available. Contact Amanda directly for full details, availability, any restrictions and to discuss custom-made tours. Conwy Tours can also supply qualified, official guides for tours of Snowdonia and Anglesey.
