Tenby’s Castle Beach came out on top after The Times chief travel writer scoured Britain for its top 40 beaches.

As well as enjoying the award winning beach, there is plenty to keep visitors occupied.

A selection of things to do include exploring Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, taking a boat trip to Caldey Island run by Cistercian monks, visiting the Tudor Merchant's House, walking around the many independent shops and market or taking a tour around Harbwr brewery.
