The museum at Chapel Bay Fort shows military technology and weaponry through the ages, with a variety of displays including light and heavy artillery and associated tools and instruments, WW I, Bomb Disposal and Waterloo amongst others. The collection has artillery from the 16th century up to the Cold War, and includes specimens of ordnance used in the defence of the Haven such as the 40mm Bofors gun and the 3·7" heavy A.A. gun. There is an extensive collection of Smallarms tracing their development over three centuries, together with optical instruments, communications equipment, projectiles, bombs, rockets etc. Guides are on hand to answer any question and add to your appreciation of the displays.
