This beautifully prepared duplex apartment on the High Street in Porthmadog offers a family or a group of friends a comfortable, spacious centrally located location for exploring the lakes and mountains of Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula coastline. Occupying the first and second floor of what used to be a small hotel there is a lovely kitchen, stunning bathroom and a large comfortable lounge to relax in. Situated within walking distance to the harbour and over the way from the park in Porthmadog there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. You can even walk to Borth y Gest in 20 minutes and eat in one of the cafes and bistro on the bay there. Borth y Gest is the nearest beach or a short drive is the 3 mile long sandy Black Rock Sands. 'Steamy trains' are abound in Porthmadog with the Heritage Railway and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways with routes from Porthmadog up to Snowdonia stopping at villages such as Beddgelert en-route. Snowdon is 12 miles from Porthmadog with narrow roads winding its way through stunning countryside and river gorges. Local attractions include the Italianate village of Portmeirion (2 miles), Cricieth and Harlech Castles (5 and 12 miles), Zip World in the Ffestiniog Valley (15 miles) and Coed y Brenin mountain biking centre near Dolgellau (30 minute drive). Bodnant Gardens in the Conwy valley is worth the 40 minute drive around Snowdon visiting Swallow Falls and Betws y Coed on the way - highly recommended!

EXTRA: This apartment is above a shop however it has its own access and you will not need to enter the property via the shop.
PLEASE NOTE: There is the standard flight of 13 steps to the first floor and another standard flight of 13 steps to the second floor. Property does have 3 stair-gates.

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner.
