03 August 2017 Legendary Sword visits key locations in Wales this Summer During the Summer, the on-going Year of Legends campaign will see a legendary sword of epic proportions visiting some key locations around Wales. A key early opportunity to see the sword installation will be if you are visiting the Eisteddfod. Whilst you’re there, you’ll be challenged to find the right spot around the Maes to create the perfect perspective photograph, creating the illusion of you pulling the sword from the ground. You’ll then be encouraged to “become the legend” by sharing and posting your shot on social media, providing you with a chance to win a prize through Visit Wales’ free prize draw. Visit Wales are also producing bespoke snapchat geofilters to encourage users to share images. Legendary Sword at the Eisteddfod Whilst you’re there, you will also be able to pick up a promotional crown depicting some of Wales’ Welsh myths and legends – and learn more about Bendigeidfran, Owain Glyndŵr, Rhiannon and Twm Sion Cati - to name but a few. Children with the sword and their legendary crowns Details of how to enter the free prize draw are printed inside the promotional crowns. There is no need to fill in forms or supply any details, simply posting images with the #FindYourEpic or #GwladGwlad hashtags is all you need to do to enter. The prize includes £1,000 worth of Welsh Rarebits vouchers Enjoy this? Share it with friends Related items Wales on Film Wales has been host to hundreds of films.
