Find your EPIC in Easter 2017
EPIC at Margam Country Park
by Wales On View
It’s been a few months now since our EPIC letters wowed crowds everywhere from Tintern to Llandegla last summer, marking the incredible adventures available in Wales during 2016’s Year of Adventure.
Last summer, over 8,000 visitors came to interact with our pop-up art installation (and take some incredible selfies while they were at it) at 8 locations including Abereiddy, Cardiff Castle, Coed Llandegla, Elan Valley, Pen y Gwryd, Theatr Clwyd, Tintern Abbey and Worm’s Head.
With the Year of Legends already underway, we think it’s only right that we spruce up the installation with an EPIC new Year of Legends design featuring some of Wales’ best loved legends and myths.
The new sign will also feature a QR code to allow visitors to scan and view the new Year of Legends film featuring Beauty and the Beast star Luke Evans.
The sign, measuring 4 meters high and 11 meters wide has been re-covered with Wales’ iconic legends and myths and will act as a focal point for visitors at its new host location.
At the new location, Visit Wales staff will be on hand to assist with taking group photos and encouraging visitors to share their selfies and group pics using the #FindYourEpic and #GwaldGwlad campaign hashtags.
OK great – but WHERE is the new mystery location!?
The new host for our legendary Easter pop-up is…
Margam Park! A well-loved country park well known for its history, wildlife and natural beauty, It’s a perfect place for a day out exploring the parkland, house and garden. It also has a fabulous children’s fairytale playground, orangery and nature trails to explore, too. So bring a picnic and prepare for a legendary day out!
If you’re planning on popping along, the sign will be hard to miss and will be at Margam Park from Tuesday 11 April before popping up at another legendary location in Wales for the May bank holiday.
We’ll see you there!
