With the dizzying ascent of Wales’ footballing success in 2016, fans all over the world are standing shoulder to shoulder with Wales and daring to dream.  But how can these new fans nail their colours to the mast and show off their in-depth knowledge and appreciation for Wales’ finest football team in nearly 60 years?  Try out these handy terms and phrases to show your support for Wales (and possibly make a Welsh friend for life). It doesn’t matter too much about the pronunciation, only that it comes from the heart.  This is our adventure and you are very welcome to come with us…Together stronger!

Pronunciation tips
The Welsh ‘ch’ is pronounced like the Scottish loch.
The ‘ll’ sound doesn’t appear in English, but is pronounced a bit like saying the letter ‘L’, then move your tongue fractionally back and up, and blow!
