31 July 2015 Surf's up in Snowdonia 'Wave' goodbye to July and visit the world's first publicly accessible surf lagoon in Snowdonia which opens 01 August. With waves ranging from 2m to 0.5m for beginners, in a 300m long lagoon. An ideal place to finally get round to learning to surf. Or if you're an accomplished surfer, a chance to experience something new. Heading up the team of instructors is former British Junior Team coach and multiple Welsh and British champion, Jo Dennison. Once you're done, Surf Snowdonia has a glass-fronted cafe bar where you can discuss your efforts and compare yourself to those still out there (and you were much better of course!). All with great tasting hot and cold food. If you fancy, you can round this off with an evening of drinks, where the tales will get taller and the waves you rode will get higher.
