A tasty couple of weeks in Wales

This month and next there are a number of mouth-watering food festivals taking place in Wales. Starting on the 27th September with the Bridgend Festival - the alternative food festival. In previous years it has featured the leaning tower of Pizza and a 10ft Cauliflower Sheep.

On the 28th we have the small and friendly Narbeth Food Festival. The same day, brining the countryside to the capital, is the new Cardiff Country Fair.

The following weekend is a celebration of local produce and historic market town atmosphere in the Neath Food and Drink Festival. Then onto Newport, on the 5th October, for the 3rd Newport Food Festival. Featuring the Teenchef final, young chefs battle it out for a chance to gain experience in a top restaurant.

Oysters cultivated in the Menai Strait take centre stage for the Anglesey Oyster Festival on the 12th October. We finish off the month at the award winning Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival and one of the largest food festivals in North Wales - Gwledd Conwy Feast.
