Beaumaris Castle will host one of the biggest events of the year this August, when the castle will be transformed back to medieval times.
Knights will do battle to conquer the land, jesters and musicians will entertain, and the townsfolk will demonstrate how life was in medieval Wales. There will be demonstrations of medieval life, living history, crafts, games, armoury talks and a chance to try out some armour, archery displays and have-a-go archery, sword fighting, music and more.
The chapel will have beautiful music echoing through the newly refurbished tower where musicians will play traditional Welsh and medieval music.
Come and meet the birds of prey and learn how these birds were used in medieval times. There will also be a chance to hold one of these magnificent birds. Children will have the opportunity to make their own owl mask, learn about the birds and even dissect an owl pellet.
Come and meet the dragons and take part in the dragon parade. They'll be roaming the castle, and you can even join in the dragon land speed record and defeat the knights as you go. Also look out for the executioner!
Jesters will entertain and get up to mischief, and perform some fantastic skills and dangerous stunts. And there will also be craft and food stalls offering varied gifts and refreshments throughout the day.
