The eighth Cowbridge Music Festival which will take place from 8th – 23rd September 2017.
There are no fewer than thirteen concerts, including a world-famous vocal group, four chamber music concerts
Two afternoon concerts given by some of the most talented young musicians of South Wales, a Family Concert and five days of schools outreach complete the programme.
The festival’s founders Mary Elliott Rose and Sam Edwards have been welcoming performers to Cowbridge since 2010, inspired by the close-knit Welsh community and stunning scenery and buildings.
A variety of musical artists from different genres will perform individual concerts in venues around the village, including The King’s Singers, Jamie Smith’s Mabon, The Misha Mullov-Abbado Sextet, and German virtuoso violinist Veronika Eberle.
The festival places significant emphasis on education and outreach, with a range of accessible activities including schools’ Samba workshops and author Lucy Owen’s ‘Boo-a-Bog in the Park’, an interactive concert for children under 12.
