Mid Wales

Mid Wales is the place to bring your group for space to breathe, think and focus. Two thousand square miles of breath-taking scenery including two National Parks, the Brecon Beacons in the South and Snowdonia in the North, the Elan Valley, a Dark Sky Reserve, the wildlife-rich beaches, mudflats and wetlands of the internationally recognised UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere and beautiful Cardigan Bay with  award-winning beaches - and the UK’s largest pod of dolphins. Mid Wales also has charming towns, as found within the ancient Welsh kingdom of Ceredigion founded by the 5th-century chieftain Ceredig, and Cardigan, packed with historical architecture and bursting with hip craft shops, home-grown fashion labels and gourmet food shops, and home to restored Cardigan Castle, a hub of Welsh language, culture and performance.  And of course, the picturesque small town of Hay-on-Wye, the world's largest second-hand and antiquarian book centre and home to the famous Literary Festival.

The region is also home to Europe’s foremost eco-centre WISE, The Wales Institute for Sustainable Education. Set in the grounds of the Centre for Alternative Technology, overlooking Southern Snowdonia, the award-winning eco building is an ideal venue for any meeting in the sustainable and green industries, with impressive facilities for meetings and events and accommodation of 24 rooms.
