Chris Packham

Chris Packham is one of Britain’s best-loved naturalists. The 52-year-old from Southampton is the mainstay of TV wildlife programmes, but the teenage punk is never far beneath the surface. He’s famous for nipping song titles of his favourite bands into his drily witty narration: The Smiths, The Clash, and the Manic Street Preachers have all made unexpected cameos. For three years, his BBC Springwatch series was based at the RSPB reserve at Ynys-hir, with a crew of 100 descending on the impossibly pretty Dyfi Estuary in remotest Mid Wales.
