Tal-y-bont, Talybont, Gwynedd, LL43 2BF, Wales

These sand dunes are of Special Scientific Interest, since they are constantly developing and changing their environment. There are a variety of plants here - including orchids and sharp sea rush and many species of birds including ringed plover and cormorants. From the beach there are fine views of the Gwynedd coastline, to the north and to the south. Conditions here are excellent for surfing, with consistently good waves and the beach is also popular for fishing. Inland is the village of Tal y Bont. The beach is accessible by bike using the National Cycle Route 8 which passes through Tal y Bont.
