New Quay Boat Trips offers a one hour Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips taking you south as far as Cwmtydu passing a bird colony of Auks, seal haul-out areas and historic sites including, the remains of an Iron-age settlement. All this while the skipper and crew keep their eyes on the water for an encounter with some of the many bottlenose dolphins and harbour porpoise which thrive here.
Alternatively take our two hour cruise which offers all of the above plus the increased chance of spotting dolphins as on this cruise you will venture further down the coast to the little bay of Ynys Lochtyn, just before the village of Llangrannog. The peninsula attracts fish and therefore is one of the main feeding areas for the dolphins so is one of the best spots when they are hard to spot. Ynys Lochtyn also boasts the tallest cliffs in Ceredigion. Here you may see the very rare Chough, plus throughout the trip Gannets, Shearwaters, Oystercatchers, Cormorants and Shags, numerous gulls including our very own George Seagull. Sunfish or even a Sea Turtle are possible but much more frequent are the grey seals often popping up to see who is passing by their cave or basking on rocks to re-charge in the sun.
